Because eclipses happen in 18 – 24 month long cycles in pairs of signs, there can be overlap between the the signs as one series ends and the next begins, such as we are experiencing right now.
By the Fagan Bradley sidereal zodiac, we are coming to the end of the Gemini-Sagittarius series which began June 2018 and will end July 2021, and beginning the Taurus-Scorpio series, beginning with the June 5, 2020 eclipse in Scorpio, and ending with the full moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio May 15, 2022.
A brief review of Eclipses
Eclipse season is a time of change, whether through endings or new beginnings, felt most keenly by those with a planet or point near the eclipse degree.
We may still be affected if the eclipse falls in our sun or rising sign, even if we don’t share a degree with the eclipse.
The change an eclipse brings is typically tied to events outside our ability to control–we can only accommodate the changes in our lives willingly or unwillingly, with acceptance or with resistance.
Eclipses are many times stronger than a regular new or full moon, and they can activate the sign and house opposite from the one in which they occur.
Eclipses expose what’s hidden from your awareness (including secrets) and bring to light essential information you need.

How to know if this eclipse season affects you directly
Let’s talk about how to know if these particular eclipses affect you directly.
You’ll need your sidereal natal chart to check the following degrees and signs. We’ll go through each of the three mid year eclipses one at a time.
June 5, 2020 full moon lunar eclipse in sidereal Scorpio, 20° 32’
Check water and earth signs. Look for a planet or point at 20° or 21° degrees Scorpio. Pisces, Cancer, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn. Planets and points within +/- 3 to 5 degrees either side may be considered, although the effect will be greater the closer they are.
The June 5th eclipse news may be delivered at the following dates:
4 April 2020
5 May 2020
5 June 2020
6 July 2020
7 August 2020
If you have Scorpio sun or rising, or a planet or point at 20° or 21° of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius, experiences brought up by this eclipse will be more challenging and bring greater growth and learning potential.
The eclipse degree will be reactivated for you at the full moons in July, September, & November 2020 and the full moons in February and May 2021.
If you have a planet or personal point at 20° or 21° of Cancer, Capricorn, Virgo, or Pisces, this will likely be a less challenging eclipse for you, but will require more conscious effort and action on your part if you wish to use the eclipse energy for an initiation or to effect permanent change in your life.
The eclipse degree will be reactivated for you at the full moons in July, August & October 2020 and again at the full moons in January & March 2021.
June 21, 2020 new moon lunar eclipse in Gemini, 5° 19’
Check fire and air signs. Look for a planet or point at 5 degrees Sagittarius. Leo, Aries, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius. Planets and points within +/- 3 to 5 degrees either side may be considered, although the effect will be greater the closer they are.

19 April 2020
20 May 2020

If you have a planet or personal point at 5° of Aries, Leo, Libra, or Aquarius, this will likely be a less challenging eclipse for you, but will require conscious effort and action on your part if you wish to use the eclipse energy like we said before.
The eclipse degree will be reactivated for you at the new moons in September & November 2020 and again at the new moons in March & May 2021.

about me
My astrological explorations began in 1994 and have taken me on an amazing, decades-long journey of discovery beginning with the teachings of Sybil Leek and continuing with those of Joanna Woolfolk, Nicholas Campion, Max Heindel, Ptolemy, Susan Miller, Carol Rushman, Steven Forrest, Cyril Fagan, Robert Powell, and Dane Rudhyar, to name just a few. I began reading privately for family and close friends in 2003 and following a profoundly transformational spiritual experience opened my practice to the public through Mystick Physick in 2014.
Now more than ever I see the need in the world for the life and soul guidance that astrology can offer to those who seek to understand its sublime language. Collectively we are waking up and determined to find meaning and purpose in our daily lives. This is the gift that astrology offers us.
I’m Phaedra, astrologer and artist of Mystick Physick. I make my home in Idaho’s gorgeous Treasure Valley with my husband of 20 years, our dog Rocket and cat Jet. In my natural habitat I can usually be found meditating, continuing my ongoing astrological explorations, painting to the astrological rhythms of the solar system, or reading about the latest discoveries in the science of consciousness or astrophysics. You can find me at phaedrapaints.com and mystickphysick.com.
