DECEMBER 2017

Pisces Sun
Pisces Rising

Mars and Uranus face off December 1st as they both change signs, with Mars suddenly ramping up the activity level in your 8th House of other people’s money as he moves into Libra and Uranus reentering Pisces as he continues his retrograde for four and 1/2 more weeks.

Jupiter sends a friendly beam to your ruler, Neptune, in your solar 12th House of privacy and seclusion on the 2nd, when you could privately receive financial largess through a benefactor or partner of some kind. You may need to keep your windfall discreet for the benefit of your patron.

Mercury stations retrograde at the full moon in sidereal Taurus December 3rd, slowing career progress and professional gains for the coming week, a good time for assessing your professional progress to spot areas of weakness you can shore up through training or meeting strategic goals.

The full moon brings a travel or communication matter to a head, possibly involving a sibling or neighbor if you’ve been in talks or car pooling. Alternatively, if you’re a writer or working on a communications project, you could be putting the finishing touches on your work in the days just after this full moon.

On the 6th Mercury conjoins Saturn in your career sector, potentially reactivating a conversation or negotiation with a mentor or manager about a bonus or commission opportunity, giving you the renewed chance to reach a mutually beneficial arrangement. It’s not the best time to sign a contract or enter into an agreement, so if it’s possible hold off finalizing anything or making a commitment until later, once Mercury is direct. Just after Christmas is a far better time.

Mercury moves back into Scorpio on the 10th, catching a friendly beam from Uranus as he does so. You could hear unexpected news from afar near this date.

The sun and Mercury meet up in your international sector two days later, on the 12th, when you could be communicating over far distances, travelling to another region or country, or learning about another culture.

“If you need to iron out the remaining details of a career negotiation with a boss, this month could bring your opportunity, though you may have to prove you’re worth whatever you’re asking for through a demonstration of hard work, self discipline and commitment.”

You could have meeting of the minds near the 15th when Mercury conjoins Venus in your 9th House of international affairs and higher thinking. You may discover an intellectual appreciation for the values and the beauty of a culture far different from your own.

The sun enters Sagittarius for a four week tour of your 10th House of career, awards, fame and recognition on December 16th, catching a friendly beam from Uranus in your privacy sector as he does so. Your professional reputation could benefit through unexpected events going on behind the scenes.

The December 18th new moon in Sagittarius could bring to light at a professional opportunity within +/- 4 days, though this isn’t the most favorable time to make a career initiation. If at all possible, try to hold off until just after Christmas, when Mercury will be direct again and beyond the unpredictable days at the end of his retrograde.

A sudden insight into cultural values is possible near the 20th, when Uranus touches Venus from his perch in your 12th House of privacy and seclusion. Venus is just about to leave your house of foreign & legal affairs and long distance communication for a three and 1/2 week tour of your career sector, just in time for progress there to resume in just a few days.

She makes her move on the 21st of December, the very next day, as the sun conjoins Saturn in your career sector. If you need to iron out the remaining details of a career negotiation with a boss, this could be your opportunity, though you may have to prove you’re worth whatever you’re asking for through a demonstration of hard work, self discipline and commitment.

In fact, your boss may ask you to demonstrate those qualities before they reward you fully, and instead offer a compromise. Wait to decide if you’ll accept until after the Christmas holiday and deliver your decision between the 26th and 28th when circumstances will be more a favorable for entering agreements or making initiations.

Mercury stations direct on the 22nd, but he will take some time to normalize his orbit before it’s safe to commence Mercury-ruled activities, so provide some space around this date before acting.

While normally its best to wait until after he leaves the shadow of his retrograde to act, there’s a small window just after Christmas when we can put the new moon in Sagittarius energy to work while still minimizing the impact of Mercury recovering from retrograde motion. Use these days, the 26th – 28th, to make your career moves for the coming six month lunar cycle.

Venus conjoins Saturn come Christmas day, and your boss may have a change of heart over the holiday. Patience is a virtue, young padawan.

Finally, on the 28th Mars catches a friendly greeting from Neptune in your privacy sector. You could privately receive the benefits of access to another person’s resources in the final days of 2018.
