FEBRUARY 2018

Taurus Sun
Taurus Rising

February begins in the wake of a full moon lunar eclipse in your solar 3rd House of travel and communication, suggesting a degree of busy-ness in your immediate environment could begin winding down, whether that’s activity in your neighborhood, or involving siblings, or simply a change in your commute or a writing project coming to an end.

At the same time, if you’re one of the folks directly affected by the eclipse you could see the culmination of something you began six months ago, bringing a new dimension to how you experience your surroundings.

This is the second eclipse in a series of four affecting your travel and communication sector, a series which began a year ago and will continue to play out until January 2019.

Last year, late born Taurus were most affected–those born near the end of the sign by the sidereal zodiac. This time around, mid born Taurus babies–those born between May 28th and June 7th–will feel the eclipse most.

On the 2nd Uranus resumes his seven year long transit of your most private life, bringing sudden inspirations, spiritual or personal insights, and unexpected shifts in what you believe, rebelling against behaviors, beliefs and modes of being that you’ve long since outgrown but that you perhaps continue to engage in out of deeply unconscious habit.

By the time this transit is over you may not recognize the person you’ve become, but you’ll be ready to bring this reinvented version of you to life in the physical world.

Watch the 3rd for good news related to a business or marriage partnership or joint project.

Your ruler, Venus, has surprises in store for you on the 6th when she waves a friendly greeting to Uranus just before her entrance into sidereal Aquarius and your 10th House of career. Whatever she has up her sleeve may come to you in private, whether that’s some sort of professional recognition or career opportunity, and you may need to keep it to yourself, at least for now.

If you’re in the busy season at work or have a lot on your plate, work diligently and get as much done as you can before the 10th, so that stack of work on your desk doesn’t interfere with your travel or vacation plans in the week before Valentine’s Day. If nothing else, maybe the boss will take notice of your efforts and let you off the hook when you need to take time for travel or academic activities.

“Whatever Venus has up her sleeve may come to you in private, whether that’s some sort of professional recognition or career opportunity, and you may need to keep it to yourself, at least for now.”

Try not to make concrete plans around the 14th, though as Uranus may have other intentions for you, at least in terms of the time you spend away from the world at large.

Watch the 13th and 15th especially, the same two days the sun and Mercury leave serious Capricorn for friendly Aquarius and your career sector. If you do take time away in early February be prepared to get down to business when you return–you’ll have a veritable board meeting’s worth of planets in your 10th House for the next several weeks, with Neptune, Venus, the sun and Mercury all gathered there.

You could enjoy some pleasant surprises in the days around the 14th, but busy work and partnership activities could put a damper on the fun.

The 15th also brings the new moon solar eclipse in your career sector, and with unpredictable Uranus ruling the new moon forget speculating about how all that planetary activity will play out. Uranus’s erratic nature makes that a fool’s errand at eclipse time.

It may be safe enough to say that the new moon brings a mixed bag of circumstances, both helpful and challenging, and a great deal of change and uncertainty. Your financial outlook could benefit from events, but the effect on your workload may leave something to be desired.

Eclipses open doorways that have a long term effect, sometimes up to 18 months, so the changes to come in your professional life may continue to play out over the coming months.

Conflicts could arise in a partnership or joint project if you’re not communicating clearly enough. Be aware of the risk of miscommunication on the 17th, and likewise, don’t be tempted to dissemble–if you’re caught out it’ll likely just cause an argument.

Your dedication could bring you a bonus of some sort near the 21st, and possibly even private acknowledgement of your contributions at work.

Lack of clarity or miscommunication could at work could a cause of conflict with a partner on the 25th, though, so make an extra effort to confirm what you are told, and to be clear in what you need to convey to a collaborator.

Finally, on the 28th, seek out advice from a VIP or other person of influence if you need to mollify a partner. Watch your words.
