NOVEMBER 2017

Aries Sun
Aries Rising

Communication, travel, partnership, business, obligations, and career all may be in a state of transition in the early days of November, dear Aries, as three planets make sign changes in the lead up to the November 4th full moon in your sign.

It all starts with Mercury’s move into Scorpio on the 2nd, bringing news from your financial sector. It’s possible you could hear news of a bonus or commission opportunity near this date, or alternatively, receive communications related to other people’s resources. In the three weeks Mercury tours your financial sector issues around loans, taxes, insurance, inheritance or your partner’s finances could come up.

The very next day, November 3rd, Venus makes her move into her home sign of Libra and your partnership sector for a three and 1/2 week stay.

She’ll bring a spirit of cooperation and enjoyment to your relationships while she’s here, along with a touch of spontaneity to enliven your committed partnerships in the early days of her stay here.

On the 4th, Saturn returns to Sagittarius and your 9th House of international affairs and higher thinking for a more than two year long stay.

Saturn is here to teach you about commitment, responsibility, structure, perseverance and self-discipline in matters of long distance travel, higher education, publishing, broadcasting, religious or legal matters while he’s here.

These may be challenging lessons, but you’ll have plenty of time to absorb and integrate them before he leaves for Capricorn in early 2020, and if you do, he’ll grace you with recognition and rewards for your accomplishments before he leaves.

He may have given you a clue as to the theme of his lesson when he made his first foray into Sagittarius in late January of this year. Think back to that time and see if you recall any challenges or events related to those Sagittarian matters of foreign travel, long distance communication, religion, education or law which may have come up.

Sagittarius also rules philosophy, so it’s possible your lessons will relate to your philosophical beliefs or ways of thinking about the world.

The Mercury Retrograde Survival Guide

This 33 page guide is filled with everything you need to know to rock any retrograde!

The full moon in Aries lights your 1st House of image appearance, identity, self-expression and the physical body signaling that a highly personal matter is coming to a conclusion within +/- 4 days of November 4th.

Alternatively, if you began a project at the new moon in Aries late last April, one that is very near and dear to your heart, you may finally see it coming to fruition in the days near this full moon.

On the 8th a VIP in your 9th House of international affairs and higher thinking could reach out with a partnership offer or business advice, especially if your work requires international travel or involves publishing or broadcasting.

Alternatively, if you’re involved in a legal case or immigration issue and need the help of an authority, this is a good time to seek it. Likewise if you’re needing approval on a university or certification matter. A person of influence may be able and willing to help you at this time.

The final Saturn-Uranus trine in a series which began December 24th of last year reaches exact on the 11th of November. This series of trines affected readers with the sun or ascendant in a water or fire sign. The water signs have already felt the effects of this transit, as their turn came last December, but fire signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius first felt this in late May of this year when Saturn was retrograde and will feel the final changes brought about by this aspect now, in November. The effects will be felt from November 3rd through the 18th, but they will be strongest on the 11th.

This is an aspect which can set the stage for you to safely experiment with new ways of doing the same old necessary things with successful results. You can introduce inventive new processes and exercise your genius without worrying so much about upsetting the apple cart.

You could experience a sudden revolution affecting the underlying structure upon which everything you think you know about foreign cultures, publishing, broadcasting, religion, law or philosophy is built, which permanently changes how you understand it. Whatever happens is likely to happen unexpectedly and bring lasting, positive change.

Longstanding traditions may be thrown out the window in favor of new ideas with the power to establish more innovative traditions which serve you far better in the long term. It’s possible this stroke of genius which inspires such dramatic change comes about due to a partner, partnership offer, or joint venture. You’ll feel this most strongly if you have a planet or personal point at 1° or 2° of Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius, or if your birthday falls on April 15th or 16th .

If this is the case, it’s possible that Saturn’s 9th House lesson for you in the coming years relates in part to the implementation of and adjustment to these changes.

A superb day for business and marriage partnerships comes November 13th, when Venus conjoins Jupiter in Libra, your 7th House.

Out of bounds Mercury in Scorpio sends a challenge to Neptune this day, so be aware of the outsized risk of suspicion and distrust in communications with other near this day. You may find it quite easy to read things in to another’s words, so be sure to ask for clarification if you need to. You could simply be overthinking.

Mercury enters the shadow of his December 3rd retrograde on the 14th, making the coming three weeks an excellent time to make a plan for putting the retrograde to use, while Mercury is slowing down.

He’ll be retracing his steps through Sagittarius and Scorpio this time, and any Mercury ruled work you do between now and December 3rd may come up for revision during his retrograde. This includes mental activities like analysis and research, writing, travel related activities, communication, sales, and commerce.

Prepare now, and you’ll have a much easier time navigating the retrograde when it comes. You’ll want to get all of your most important holiday shopping done before this date, especially if you have big ticket items, electronics, or anything with moving parts on your list. If you can’t, the best strategy is to give gift cards. That way your loved ones can do their own shopping after the Christmas holiday, when the retrograde will be over. The January clearance sales in the second half of the month would be the prime time to go.

The 16th presents the perfect opportunity for an evening out with friends, and be sure to bring along a partner or date. Hit the theater or movies, or even a musical performance, Anything futuristic or fantastical is a good bet. If you’re struggling to find inspiration you may simply need to take a break.

The sun enters sidereal Scorpio on the 16th for a four week tour of your 8th House of other people’s money. You could find yourself borrowing or lending money at this time, reviewing finances and investments, dealing with an inheritance, taxes, insurance, or relying on a partner’s access to resources that you need. If you earn money through bonus or commission income, you can make that a focus in the coming four weeks

Watch for good news to come on the 17th, likely news which would affect you directly–possibly related to work you do, pets (if you have them) or health related issues.

The new moon in Scorpio November 18th lights your solar 8th house, bringing a financial opportunity your way. A bonus or commission opportunity could arise, or you may decide to take steps to proactively improve your financial picture. Alternatively, you could receive news of an inheritance, insurance payout, or settlement claim, as a few examples. Watch the days around the new moon, or take action within the 10 days following.

Your ruler, Mars sends a challenge to Pluto on the 19th, not a good day to flout authority, anger a VIP, or start a conflict with a Scorpio–they hold grudges.

If you have to have a difficult conversation, try the 21st, when Venus’s levelheaded influence will likely make you both feel more cooperative.

Neptune stations direct the next day, on the 22nd, so if you’ve been finding inspiration hard to come by as he slowed down, you could find the floodgates open as he appears to hold still in the sky. The 23rd could bring a flood of new creative ideas, so be sure to have a pen and paper handy for writing them down.

It may take him a while to get back up to speed, but you’re likely to get enough creative inspiration to last you for some time.

Uranus sends Mercury off with a eureka moment as he prepares to make his ingress into Sagittarius on the 25th. Mercury joins Saturn and Pluto there for the coming two weeks, making your 9th House the place where all the conversation is taking place. You could hear unexpected news near this date.

Retrograde motion will bring Mercury back to Scorpio for nearly four weeks in early December, before he makes his return visit to Sagittarius after the new year.

Venus moves into Scorpio for a three and 1/2 week stay in your 8th House of other people’s resources, boosting the resources available to you through a partner.

The very next day, Mercury conjoins Saturn in your 9th House, providing you with the capacity for sustained mental focus, provided you are self-disciplined enough to tune out all unnecessary distractions. This is the first in a series of three conjunctions between now and early 2018. While Saturn and Mercury typically only meet up once a year, Mercury’s retrograde will have him checking in with the taskmaster planet while first direct, then retrograde, and finally direct once again, in sequence.

Pay attention to what comes up on the 28th, as you may find yourself having to revisit the subject until it’s been refined and polished to Saturn’s satisfaction.
