NOVEMBER 2017

Gemini Sun
Gemini Rising

Communication, travel, partnership, business, obligations, and responsibilities all may be in a state of transition in the early days of November, dear Gemini, as three planets make sign changes in the lead up to the November 4th full moon in Aries.

First to make a sign change is Mercury, ruler of your solar 1st and 4th Houses, moving into sidereal Scorpio on the 2nd and bringing news from your workaday sector. You may be engaged in work related communication more than normal in the coming three weeks, especially with Saturn about to take his exit from your solar 6th House in just a few days.

Venus moves into her home sign of Libra and your solar 5th House of romance, creativity and children the very next day, November 3rd, beginning a 3 and 1/2 week tour.

If you have a creative streak, you can use this transit to exercise your creative talents and imbue your creations with Venusian qualities of beauty, harmony, balance, and desirability, creating something of lasting artistic value. Use this time to paint, draw, write music, or enjoy any other creative activity.

With the sun and Neptune exchanging a lovely trine at the same time, you could find yourself inspired to new artistic heights, and quite suddenly at that.

On the 4th, Saturn finally returns to Sagittarius to resume his more than two year long visit in your 7th House of partnership. He’ll be here to test and teach you about partnership commitments, whether in business or marriage.

Think back to late January earlier this year, when he first entered Sagittarius before his retrograde. He may have given you a clue as to the purpose of his visit then.

You’ll be challenged to demonstrate self-discipline and perseverance in partnership matters and joint ventures in the coming years, and if you can meet this challenge, Saturn will reward you before he leaves in late January 2020.

The full moon in sidereal Aries also falls on November 4th, potentially bringing a friendship to an end or your role within an organization to a conclusion, or perhaps bringing a long held hope or dream to fulfillment. Watch for news within +/- 4 days of the full moon.

A friend moving away is one way this could manifest for instance, or if your work with an organization could be nearing completion. Alternatively, you could be wrapping up tasks in preparation for moving on to a new role.

If you’ve been working on bringing a dream of yours to life, use the 10 days following this full moon to complete the finishing touches.

An influential partner could be a source of assistance near the 8th.

Last December, on Christmas Eve, Saturn and Uranus began a series of three trines which is finally reaching its natural conclusion when the third and final trine reaches exact on November 11th. The first time these two planets connected it affected late-born Pisces and those with planets at 25° or 26° of the water signs, Pisces, Scorpio, and Cancer.

The second and third events in the series, coming May 18th and now, in November, affect early born Aries and those with planets (or personal points) at 1° and 2° of fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

When these two planets connect in such an helpful fashion, long term structural change becomes easier to implement without the disruption such change would normally bring about. Long standing traditions can be updated to serve the needs of the future in a lasting way. Inventiveness can bring about permanent, revolutionary change to great benefit.

Check your natal chart to see if you will be directly affected by this Saturn-Uranus trine, and if so, it’s likely that events that happened near May 18th of this year turn out to be directly related to changes in your daily work, foreign travel or communication, or your philosophical ideals which you experience now.

” If you’ve been struggling to get your message out, especially related to the public work you do and the way in which you serve others, expect things to finally shift into gear over the coming weeks.”

Venus and Jupiter conjoin in Libra on the 13th, bringing blessings in your 5th House of creativity, romance, and children, a lovely day to be creative with music, painting, film, theater or photography–any visual medium you might use to create a fantasy or illusion.

Alternatively, you might choose to enjoy the evening with a lover or romantic partner over a meal of foreign cuisine or taking in a foreign film together.

Remember that Mercury is out of bounds for several weeks, so if you find yourself struggling to communicate clearly or understand what someone else is trying to tell you near this time, it could be too easy to overreact to something you perceive as deception. Try not to read too much into someone else’s words, rather, ask point blank for clarity.

Mercury enters the shadow of his December 3rd retrograde on the 14th, making the coming three weeks an excellent time to make a plan for putting the retrograde to use, while Mercury is slowing down.

He’ll be retracing his steps through Sagittarius and Scorpio this time, and any Mercury ruled work you do between now and December 3rd may come up for revision during his retrograde. This includes mental activities like analysis and research, writing, travel related activities, communication, sales, and commerce.

Prepare now, and you’ll have a much easier time navigating the retrograde when it comes. You can download a free excerpt from my ebook, The Mercury Retrograde Survival Guide, for all the guidance you need to help you get safely–and sanely–through any Mercury retrograde cycle. You’ll want to get all of your most important holiday shopping done before this date, especially if you have big ticket items, electronics, or anything with moving parts on your list. If you can’t, the best strategy is to give gift cards. That way your loved ones can do their own shopping after the Christmas holiday, when the retrograde will be over. The January clearance sales in the second half of the month would be the prime time to go.

The sun enters sidereal Scorpio on the 16th of November, beginning his annual four week tour of your solar 6th House of work, health, pets, and daily routines. It’s likely that your daily work or health-related activities take on greater importance for you during this time. Alternatively, your daily schedule may dictate how you live your life under this transit.

The 16th and 17th are a fantastic set of days to present a creative project to an international audience. You could hear news about a work related project or something which affects your daily routine at this time, or accomplish a great deal of mental or analytical work or writing, especially if you work from home.

The new moon in Scorpio November 18th activates your 6th House of work, health, pets and daily routines, bringing you an opportunity to launch a new work project, or you can use this new moon to take action towards improving your health, such as beginning an exercise regimen, as a few examples.

There are challenges attached to this new moon, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself dealing with power struggles in the days near the 18th. We always look to the ruler of the new moon to determine the outcome, and with Pluto and Mars–Scorpio’s modern and traditional rulers–squaring off in the heavens, challenges to authority and conflicts of power, influence and control are likely. Keep this in mind if the new moon brings up a new work related opportunity for you. You may need to develop your assertiveness or diplomacy skills over the next six months.

A VIP in your partnership sector could be influential on a creative project you’re working on near the 21st.

Then on the 22nd, Neptune, ruler of your 10th House of career, fame, and achievement, finally resumes direct motion after five long months retrograde in your 9th House of international affairs, publishing and broadcasting. If you’ve been struggling to get your message out, especially related to the public work you do and the way in which you serve others, expect things to finally shift into gear over the coming weeks.

A secret could come out or hidden information could be revealed near this date, especially if you have a natal planet or personal point at 16° or 17° Aquarius.

The 25th is a busy news day in your partnership sector, as Mercury and Uranus team up to deliver unexpected good news in your workaday sector just as Mercury makes his move into Sagittarius and your 7th House of partnership.

Retrograde motion will bring Mercury back to Scorpio for nearly four weeks in early December, before he makes his return visit to Sagittarius after the new year.

Venus joins the sun in Scorpio for a three and 1/2 week visit in your solar 6th House of work and health on the 27th, bringing a focus on cooperation and partnership at work. This is also a time when you could find that you enjoy working out with a partner or accountability buddy to help keep you on track, or feel drawn to one-to-one types of physical activity such as racquetball or tennis, for instance.

And finally, Mercury conjoins Saturn in your partnership sector on the 28th, making it a great day for a long conversation with a marriage or business partner about the structure of your relationship or joint venture. Alternatively, if you’re working on a project together, this is a great day for sustained concentration or mental activity.

If you make a promise, sign a contract, or enter into a partnership agreement on this day, it’s likely to be in place for a long time.

Pay attention to what comes up on the 28th, as you may find yourself having to revisit the subject until it’s been refined and polished to Saturn’s satisfaction.

Mercury conjoins Saturn on the 28th, the first in a series of three conjunctions between now and early 2018. While Saturn and Mercury typically only meet up once a year, Mercury’s retrograde will have him checking in with the taskmaster planet while first direct, then retrograde, and finally direct once again.
